February 2013 Bestselling Books in Brazil: Sextante At the Top, As Usual

Ever since PublishNews began tracking bestsellers there’s been one publisher — Sextante — that has remained at the top of the lists almost every month, often with 2o or more titles. Sextante (which means sextant), was founded in 1988 and specializes in non-fiction books, primarily business and self help. Their authors include Allan Percy, Deepak Chopra and James C. Hunter, which are all-but-guaranteed bestsellers in Brazil, where non-fiction sales are much stronger than fiction.

In addition, Sextante has invested in inspirational bestselling fiction authors, like Paulo Coelho and William P. Young.

This February was no different: Sextante put 21 titles on PublishNews’ bestseller list, while Ediouro, the runner up on the leader board, has 14.
