Brazilians Close Deals Worth $680,000 in Guadalajara

Brazilian publishers returned from the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL), earlier this month and reported closing deals valued at US$680,000 and book sales totally US$430,0000.

In addition three titles were purchased through Mexican government programs for book acquisition (one from Global and two from Elementar), accounting for 120,0000 copies (no financial sum was offered), and a book collection on gastronomy from Melhoramentos went for US$250,000.

A poll of Brazilian publishers showed that they expect US$ 250,000 thousand in additional book sales, and another US$50,000 in rights sales leading from FIL over the next 12 months.
